Drugs for Lupus and Other Diseases Could Come from the Sea

An NBC-TV news segment April 19 emphasized the benefits of preserving coral
reefs where "scientists believe" drugs might be developed for Alzheimer's,
Parkinson's and lupus. This theory is based on the success of the
development of a breast cancer drug which had been derived from sponges.
